Hi there! I’m Paige, the florist behind Love Locke Weddings.
It’s so nice to meet you.
When you book your wedding suppliers, it’s important to get to know the face behind the company — Because you’re not just hiring a service, you’re trusting someone with one of the most meaningful, important, and emotional days of your life.
Below is a little bit more about me…
How I got here…
I always knew I wanted a career in the wedding industry ever since I helped my mum plan her wedding. I say ‘plan’ very loosely as I was only 16, so it was more dress appointments and DIY assistance, but I fell in love with the romance of it all.
After that, I religiously watched every wedding film and tv programme I could find, until 2021 when I landed a job role as an events coordinator at a central hotel in Bristol.
From there I became a wedding manager at a very popular country manor house in North Somerset, and led over a hundred couples through their planning process and all the way to the goodnights at the end of their big day. Trust me when I say, I’ve seen and handled it all!
The experience put me in a very good position when the pull of creativity came knocking and I answered - I decided to take a floristry course and found the entire experience so relaxing and inspiring, I felt I found my calling.
And so Love Locke Weddings was born!
My favourite part of a wedding…
As a coordinator, my favourite part of every wedding was the moment just before the bride walked down the aisle - getting her in position, ensuring her train and veil are fluffed, reminding her to take a deep breath to steady the nerves, and timing her entrance perfectly to the music. And it felt extra special knowing that was the last encounter she would have before seeing her fiancé. I would usually well up.
Now as a florist and décor stylist, it’s the couple’s face as they see their wedding for the first time - It’s a strange sensation planning a wedding without much tangible evidence of how everything will look beforehand. You certainly discuss the aesthetic with your suppliers, but you never physically see the flowers or the cake or even your completed look until the day itself. So seeing their excitement and relief as it all comes together in front of their eyes to become everything they’ve dreamed of, and knowing I was a part of that, is a very special feeling indeed.
Behind the weddings…
I’m a huge dog-lover! In my opinion, they are the best creatures to ever bless the earth. My social algorithm is almost exclusively dogs and weddings. And if you have a dog at your wedding, you can bet your bottom dollar I will be saying hello. I have one of my own called Vinnie, who we rescued from Bulgaria in 2020, and he is the absolute light of my life.
I went to Italy for the first time in 2023 and fell in love with it! The landscapes, the food, the way of life. If I were to win the lottery, I would relocate in a heartbeat. And whilst that will always remain a dream, I try to bring a little bit of Italy to my everyday life – I enjoy making both pizza and pasta totally from scratch, with a glass of rose in hand of course! You may even notice some inspiration in my décor work.
Perhaps a little more surprising – I have a bachelor’s degree in film studies! Whilst most students were out partying, my friends and I were entering (and, perhaps unfairly, winning) movie-themed pub quizzes and cosplaying for premieres at the town cinema. My love language is speaking in quotes and references.
